About the Founders

Founders and directors, Ronald and Caidy Quilaton met at Lipscomb University where they studied bible. Ronald is a native of the Philippines, and obtained his Master of Divinity degree while studying at LU. Caidy, a native of Rhode Island USA obtained her undergraduate BA in Bible: Children’s Ministry.

They married in 2009 and after their studies in 2010 they moved to Cebu, Philippines. They have a deep yearning to see restoration in the lives of broken people. From that deep yearning and with great conviction that all people are created with purpose, they began the work of 818 Ministries Philippines, Inc.
They currently live in Cebu with their two children.

Jesan Center

Serving street children of Cebu, the goal of the Jesan center drop-in program is to provide a safe and health environment for out-of-school kids and youth to get away from the harsh realities of street life. The staff aims to show love, fill bellies and build mentor-ship in order that each child will know just how valued they are in the Kingdom of God.

Discipleship Program

Our vision is to see broken lives transformed by the Spirit of grace and restoration through friendship and mentoring. Created for out-of-school youth, young adults and parents, these young people gather together three days a week for team building activities, bible studies and prayer. All activities are created to empower them to make healthier life decisions.

Feeding Program

Three opportunities arise during this time:

1. Meeting clients in their environment allows the 818 Ministries team to build a bridge between the clients broken lives and {the beginning of} their restored lives.

2. Street feedings are a way for the team to meet new clients and invite them to our other programs.

3. An opportunity to visit clients we haven’t seen at other programs in a while.
